Join the Nashville Civic Design Center on an excursion to one of the country's architectural meccas, Columbus, Indiana and Cincinnati, OH. Columbus is known for modern architecture and public spaces designed by I.M. Pei, Richard Meier, Robert Venturi, Eliel and Eero Saarinen, Harry Weese, and Deborah Berke and Michael Van Valkenburgh to name a few.
The American Institute of Architects ranked it 6th in the nation for architectural innovation and design – right behind Chicago, New York, Boston, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.
We will explore over 45 sites by world renowned architects and landscape architects including a private tour of the Miller House and garden, showcasing the work of leading 20th- century architects and designers: Eero Saarinen, Alexander Girard and Dan Kiley. We will conclude the day with a special presentation at the Indiana University Center for Art + Design from Miller Prize winner Yugon Kim.
