YP Nashville Sage Award is now the Impact Award

Each year at the NELAs, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and YP Nashville honor one of Nashville's top leaders who has made a significant impact on Nashville's YP demographic.

Our city is enriched not only by our outstanding young professionals, but by the community leaders who have mentored and guided them.

For the past three years, the YP Nashville Sage Award has been given to honor a community leader who, though outside the YP demographic, has shown a great deal of respect to YPs by working to positively impact the development of Nashville's young professionals and young professional organizations.

In 2010, this award will be renamed the Impact Award. Another local organization also presents Sage Awards, and we have decided to rename our award to eliminate any confusion in the marketplace and to recognize the impact that the recipient has made on the YP demographic.

Impact Award candidates are no longer among the YP demographic (40 years of age or older), but are community leaders who show a great deal of respect to YPs and have had a significant impact on the professional development of Nashville's YPs and YP organizations

All Impact Award candidates must have a nomination form submitted on their behalf in order to be considered. The NELA Steering Committee will determine a winner based on these nominations. The nomination process for the 2010 Impact Award will open in February or March 2010.
