Member Organizations of the 20/20 Leadership Alliance

Nashville Area Junior Chamber of Commerce
The Nashville Area Junior Chamber of Commerce (NAJCC) is the oldest organization for young professionals in the Nashville area. Founded in 1921, the central purpose of the NAJCC is to develop our members, both personally and professionally, while giving back to the Nashville community. Comprised of almost 300 professionals representing 180 companies in 90 different industries, the NAJCC offers a host of activities and events in three key areas: professional development, including monthly Lunch & Learns and leadership development programs; networking, including monthly mixers; and philanthropy, including Clinic Bowl, Special Olympics and a number of other charitable events. At the NAJCC, we connect young professional careers with our community.

Nashville Emerging Leaders
Nashville Emerging Leaders (NEL) was founded in 2002 by a group of motivated and passionate young professionals who wanted to create an organization dedicated to the ongoing development, advancement and interaction of emerging leaders in our community. NEL enables young leaders to learn from local mentors and peers while developing their leadership skills, exploring issues impacting our community, and creating a collective and powerful voice to promote change. Through a series of sessions involving the development of leadership skills, training modules, and the exploration of community issues, NEL members advance their proficiency and personal understanding of Nashville’s underlying dynamics. The NEL curriculum provides participants an opportunity to obtain a better understanding of their leadership motivation, styles and attitudes, which impact their leadership capabilities.

Society of Leaders in Development (SOLID)
The Society of Leaders in Development (SOLID), founded in 1997, is a non-profit organization comprised of developing music business professionals dedicated to improving the future success of our industry. Members come from all facets of the music business community, therefore contributing to the diversity, productivity and integrity of the group. SOLID provides individuals the opportunity to take on responsibilities and further enhance leadership skills by helping others...teaching others...leading others.

Urban League Young Professionals
The Urban League Young Professionals of Middle Tennessee (ULYP MT) is an affinity group of the Urban League of Middle Tennessee. Founded in 2004, its mission is to engage young professionals between the ages of 21 and 40 in the Urban League's movement towards the achievement of social and economic equality. ULYP MT does this by providing leadership development, social activities, economic empowerment, and community volunteer opportunities for young professionals.

ULYP MT supports the goals and mission of the Urban League of Middle Tennessee by serving the mid-state corridor and developing our members through mentoring, tutoring, scholarships, economic empowerment, political engagement and leadership development programs. The ULYP MT also implements programs in support of the National Urban League's five-point empowerment agenda, which includes education and youth; economy, health and quality of life; civic engagement and leadership; and civil rights and racial justice. In addition, the ULYP MT works to strengthen our members by encouraging them to achieve balance in their lives even as they work to strengthen the community. To this end, ULYP MT encourages the development of programs that enhance each member's personal and professional development.

Young Leaders Council
In 1985, Young Leaders Council (YLC) was created by the Council of Community Services, the HCA Foundation and the United Way to address the need to broaden and strengthen Nashville's volunteer leadership base. By training men and women between the ages of 25 and 39 to effectively participate on the boards of nonprofit organizations, "tomorrow's leaders" could make a difference in the community today. To graduate from the training program, a YLC class participant must attend 10 weekly workshops, followed by a one-year internship on a nonprofit board of their choosing. In the 20 years since the organization's founding, more than 1,000 YLC graduates have served on the boards of nearly 150 nonprofit agencies in the Nashville area.
