An alliance of young professional organizations working to engage, connect and empower young professionals to actively shape the future of the Nashville region.

History of the 20/20 Leadership Alliance
The 20/20 Leadership Alliance began in 2002 as a monthly meeting among presidents and officers of several local young professional organizations in order to initiate a dialogue and cultivate a mutual understanding and collaboration. During these early-morning sessions, significant amounts of coffee were consumed and the respective leaders began to establish relationships. Though each of the represented organizations maintained a unique mission, they all shared similar challenges and opportunities.
As the conversations continued and relationships were forged, the group realized the value of working together and recognized that most organizations in Middle Tennessee operate independently without much collaboration. The leaders decided to alter that path for their organizations to collectively promote the value of today's young professionals, who are the leaders of tomorrow. The 20/20 Leadership Alliance was born. Initially, joint networking programs were created, allowing each group's board members and broader memberships to interact. The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce approached the Alliance in 2005 with a generous offer of partnering with the 20/20 to provide community-wide programs and opportunities for YPs across Middle Tennessee. Since that moment, collectively, the Nashville Area Chamber and the 20/20 Leadership Alliance have created YP Day, the Nashville Emerging Leader Awards, a series of networking events, a World Café and a mayoral forum. The Chamber and the Alliance continue to work together to find new ways to provide leadership and networking opportunities for Nashville-area young professionals.
