Nashville Emerging Leaders (NEL)

Nashville Emerging Leaders (NEL) was founded on the premise that young, dedicated professionals have the ability and are expected to lead the continued development of Middle Tennessee. The goal of NEL is to help emerging leaders enhance leadership talents that will aid them in their professional, personal and community development, while providing participants an excellent way to connect with other promising talent.

The program consists of 11 weekly seminars and two 4-hour retreats tentatively set to start in February 2012, focusing on various aspects our community, including its history, people, culture, and politics. Past speakers are representatives of all areas of excellence, including Mayor Karl Dean, John Seigenthaler, Dr. Jesse Register, Howard Gentry and Martha Ingram. Class members will also form research groups with the goal being a tangible deliverable that will become part of the NEL legacy.

To be considered, you must fully complete the application and return it no later than September 13, 2011.

The 2012 recruitment committee, past alumni and the NEL Board will select candidates for the Class of 2012, for which there are 25
