Nashville Emerging Leaders (NEL) was founded on the premise that young, dedicated professionals have the ability and are expected to lead the continued development of Middle Tennessee. The program consists of 11 weekly seminars and two 4-hour retreats tentatively set to start in February 2012, focusing on various aspects our community, including its history, people, culture, and politics. Past speakers are representatives of all areas of excellence, including Mayor Karl Dean, John Seigenthaler, Dr. Jesse Register, Howard Gentry and Martha Ingram. Class members will also form research groups with the goal being a tangible deliverable that will become part of the NEL legacy.
