Spring is here, and Nashville is in bloom!
April has brought lovely weather to the Nashville region, and this is only one of many facets to celebrate about our amazing city! The Nashville area is in bloom with hundreds of fun things to do and places to see as young professionals enjoy life in our region.

Nashville Green Space -- Nashville contains more than 100 public parks and recreational areas, and two recreational lakes, Percy Priest Lake and Old Hickory Lake. Nashville Arts -- Nashville continues to offer state-of-the-art performance venues such as the Schermerhorn Symphony Center (opened in 2006), the Nashville Children's Theatre, with renovations unveiled in 2007, and the Noah Liff Opera Center, currently under construction with a gala scheduled for May 2009. The Frist Center for the Visual Arts is celebrating its seventh anniversary on Tuesday, April 8 with free admission. Also, art galleries throughout downtown host the First Saturday Gallery Crawl, with receptions and art openings on the first Saturday of every month, including free shuttles to transport participants.

Nashville Sports -- The Nashville Predators have qualified for the 2008 Stanley Cup playoffs for the fourth season in a row, and they will open a best-of-seven series Thursday, April 10 with a Western Conference Quarterfinals matchup against their division rival, the Detroit Red Wings. Games 3 and 4 in the series will be played in Nashville on Monday, April 14, and Wednesday, April 16. Click here to purchase tickets. The Tennessee Titans are entering their 10th season as the Titans, and the team will use the upcoming 2008 campaign to celebrate their first decade. The team unveiled a 10-year logo on April 4 that will be used throughout the season.

Nashville History -- Southern plantations, presidential estates, and Civil War history -- Nashville has it all! The area contains many historical sites such as The Hermitage, home of President Andrew Jackson, and a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens, Greece, which was originally built for Tennessee's 1897 Centennial Exposition. There are also many plantations, such as Belle Meade Plantation, and Civil-War related sites commemorating the history of our area.

Nashville Living -- Shelter and food are two of life's most basic elements, and Nashville caters to both. At the fifth annual LIVE IT UP! Nashville Culture -- Nashville is growing culturally! According to an article published in January by the Nashville Business Journal, Nashville was recently ranked as the third best U.S. city (in terms of cultural amenities) -- behind only New York City and San Francisco.
