About YP Nashville
YP Nashville is a partnership between the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and young professional organizations working to engage, connect and empower young professionals to actively shape the future of the Nashville region. The goal of YP Nashville is to connect young professionals to diverse opportunities for networking, professional development and community involvement. YPNashville.org is the place for young professionals who want to get involved and make a difference in their companies and our community. We invite you to access our list of area young professionals organizations. We're sure that, with the variety of groups and missions, you'll find at least one -- and probably more -- that match your interests.

Celebrating our NELAs Finalists
The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and YP Nashville announced the 2010 winners of the Nashville Emerging Leader Awards (NELAs) on July 29! Fourteen individual winners were recognized for their accomplishments in their respective fields, their demonstrated leadership and their involvement in community-service activities.
Another facet of the NELAs is the Impact Award, which honors a community leader who is making an important impact on the young professional demographic in terms of community leadership and professional development of Nashville's YPs and YP organizations. The 2010 Impact Award winner is Ron Samuels, chairman, president and CEO of Avenue Bank!
Lipscomb University is the presenting sponsor for all YP programs and events.

The Avant-Garde of the Frist Center for the Visual Arts
The Avant-Garde is a group of like-minded individuals who have a passion for the visual arts and a desire to support the arts in Nashville. Avant-Garde members have the unique opportunity to mix and mingle while learning about art through a series of year-round events, including gallery evenings, an annual reception in a private collector's home, art appreciation courses, collecting seminars, networking opportunities, an annual black-tie gala, and much more!

- Saturday, August 7: Cocktails and Couture
Come celebrate The Golden Age of Couture: Paris and London 1947-1957 with cocktails, canapés, and a luxury silent auction. Saturday, August 7, 6 p.m., Frist Center Grand Lobby. Reservations are required and vintage attire encouraged. Call 615-744-3248 for tickets.
