About YP Nashville
YP Nashville is a partnership between the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and young professional organizations working to engage, connect and empower young professionals to actively shape the future of the Nashville region. The goal of YP Nashville is to connect young professionals to diverse opportunities for networking, professional development and community involvement. YPNashville.org is the place for young professionals who want to get involved and make a difference in their companies and our community. We invite you to access our list of area young professionals organizations. We're sure that, with the variety of groups and missions, you'll find at least one -- and probably more -- that match your interests.
Each month, this section will highlight a young professional organization in the Nashville area. Learn about the variety of organizations that partner with YP Nashville and the exciting things they are doing!
The Southeastern Young Alumni Charitable Foundation (SEYA) was formed by young alumni of the various schools within the Southeastern Conference; however, young alumni from all schools and backgrounds are welcome to participate. SEYA's goal is to raise money for pediatric cancer research. The Monroe Carell, Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt was chosen as the benefactor as one of the nation's best pediatric hospitals for researching methodologies to cure and treat cancer in children and adolescents. It is exciting to know that we can impact one of the best pediatric hospitals in the world, support an SEC affiliate in Vanderbilt University, and see our efforts impacting the Nashville region. Like anyone who has been impacted by cancer, we aspire to be a very small part of finding a cure.
Upcoming dates for SEYA: The Affair to Care: The 2010 Affair to Care will be held at aVenue in downtown Nashville on Saturday, January 30, at 7 p.m. Young professionals from all around Nashville and across the Southeast are invited to be a part of this annual benefit. Burning Las Vegas will provide the entertainment again for this year's event. The event will also include a silent auction, hors d'oeuvres, and open wine & spirits bar.
Discounted tickets for November only: $60 per person (Ticket prices will increase to $75 per person in December and January.)
